Identity effects of architecture (Subproject 4 of the IBH project "Added value through architecture and building culture in the Lake Constance region"
Description of the project:
Subproject 4 of the IBH-funded project: "Added value through architecture and building culture in the Lake Constance region"
In this subproject, interviews will be conducted with various actors from the fields of building culture and regional planning in order to shed light on the connection between the aesthetic, economic, ecological and social effectiveness of architecture. This subproject explores the concrete effects that landmark buildings have on the local value added. The impulse-giving effect of exemplary architectural projects with regard to their cultural, social and economic developments will be elaborated.
The aim of the overall study is an industry-specific analysis of the regional significance and added value of architecture in the Lake Constance area. The aim is to show in which creative ecosystems architects are embedded and where and how they become drivers for regional and global innovations. To this end, the impulse-giving effect of architectural projects – in terms of cultural, social and regional value creation - will be examined.
