Project Study: Using RoGeR to validate surface runoff after high intensity rainfall during two events in June of 2015

Description of the project:
The project uses the hydrologic model RoGeR along with some satellite precipitation maps to simulate the surface runoff and resulting inundation following two high intensity rainfall events in June of 2015 (Bretten and Bonndorf). The ultimate goal of the project is a better process understanding of flood formation due to high intensity rainfall as well as the generation of a map showing the areas particularly vulnerable to inundation due to surface runoff.
