Low Flows and Stream Temperature: Towards an Integrated and Uncalibrated Model for Future Risk Assessment

Description of the project:
The assessment of potential low flow and stream temperature developments under future climate conditions and land-use scenarios requires robust modeling tools at the watershed scale. Current hydrological models still rely on calibration which limits their reliability when applied for environmental impact studies. We therefore develop a process-based and uncalibrated approach that integrates streamflow and stream temperature modeling and can guide practical management decisions. It will be developed and tested for distinct monitored catchments in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg, especially during periods of low summer streamflow.
