Ultra-miniaturized spectrometers

Projektbeschreibung:
We are developing a miniaturized spectrometer in mid-infrared range to detect and evaluate photochemical reactions in a micro-reactor. Multi-step Fabry-Perot filter arrays will be combined with the broad-band IR light source and the infrared detector arrays to form the spectrometer with both spectral and spatial resolutions. This miniaturized spectrometer will be integrated onto the designed micro-reactor to detect the desired products or other intermediate species during the photolysis process. The project is in cooperation with the Institute of Organic Chemistry, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, to optimize the photolysis of 2-azidobenzoic acid, which is of significance in synthetic chemistry.
