DRIeR - Drought Impacts, Processes and Resilience: Making the Invisible Visible

Projektbeschreibung:
The chair of forest and environmental policy is part of the new research project DRIeR „Drought Impacts, Processes and Resilience: Making the Invisible Visible“. For the next five years an interdisciplinary team of researchers will investigate the complexity of climate, land use, hydrology and governance interactions and processes during droughts in the past and conduct experiments and simulations. Combined expertise from hydrology, geography, ecology, law and policy will make the hidden impacts and neglected risks of the emerging hazard of drought visible on an information platform. The project is funded within the network water research Baden-Württemberg (MWK).
