Globale Differentialgeometrie: Restrictions on scalar curvature and first Dirac eigenvalue of closed manifolds.
Description of the project:
Under suitable restrictions on the Riemannian metric, the minimum of scalar curvature and the fist Dirac eigenvalue of a compact Riemannian manifold cannot become arbitrarily large. Gromov, Llanell, Herzlich and others gave optimal upper bounds for certain manifolds. In this project, we want to find good upper bounds for both the minimum of the scalar curvature and the fist Dirac eigenvalue on larger classes of Riemannian manifolds.
