Rapid detection of Bunyaviruses using TaqMan® PCR technology
Description of the project:
The goal of this scientific project is the development
of a rapid detection system to uncover the presence
of Bunyavirus. Human pathogenic Bunyaviruses will
be detected by TaqMan® PCR assays. The aim is to
develop a quantitative genus specific multiplex
TaqMan® PCR assay and to compare the sensitivity
and specificity with conventional RT-PCR test
systems. The assays will be standardized with
biochemically synthesized RNA samples.
