All-polymer optical sensor platform

Projektbeschreibung:
This project aims to develop new concepts for realizing polymer/semiconductor hybrid systems, combining the This project aims to develop new concepts for realizing integrated polymer-based optical platforms, combining the reusability of high cost coupling structures, such as polymer diffractive gratings, with the renewability of printable optical sensor circuits, such as asymmetric Mach–Zehnder interferometers. Through extensive numerical simulation of coupling structures combined with prototype development and assembly, we aim to demonstrate an integrated platform with sufficiency coupling efficiency from external light source to optical sensor circuits based on single-mode planar waveguides.
